SOM-F429 System-On-Module (SOM) is a compact (45 mm x 55 mm) mezzanine module that combines a 180 MHz Cortex-M4 STM32F429 microcontroller with 8 MB SDRAM, 16 MB NOR Flash and an Ethernet PHY buffer on a single board. The SOM interfaces to a baseboard (motherboard) using two 80-pin interface connectors.

High performance STM32 MCU

• The STM32F429xx devices are based on the high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M4 32-bit RISC core operating at a frequency of up to 180 MHz.
• STM32F429xx devices incorporate high-speed embedded memories (Flash memory up to 2 Mbyte, up to 256 Kbytes of SRAM), up to 4 Kbytes of backup SRAM.

External memories

• 64Mb External SDRAM with 32-bit data bus: Enables faster access to data, Higher refresh rate – higher resolution and animations.
• 128Mb External SPI Flash memory: It can store pictures, music, video, fonts, etc.
• Micro-SD card slot(Option).

Extensive connectivity options

• USB 2.0 full-speed device / host / OTG controller with on-chip PHY
• 10/100 Ethernet MAC and PHY
• Multiple UART, SPI, I2C and ADC channels
